Fern and Izzy

finally an update! I've been so busy finishing my film and doing end of the school year things I haven't had time. So my 3rd year film ended up being titled "Fern and Izzy, the names of the main characters. It played in the open show and was then selected for the Producers' show screening tonight. I'm very excited : ) On this post I'm putting up screen caps (recreated on photoshop for maxim quality) and back grounds I haven't posted yet. Also, after school is out I'm taking a two week trip to Prague through CalArts to see the city, animation studios and learn about Czech animation.

Crunch Time

Its crunch time again! Thats why I haven't updated in awhile and this will probably be the last post until after films. So heres something new, mostly stuff from my film in progress : )

the one at the top are some character designs for my film... the one under it was an idea for the film's environment (I wanted to try water colors with the designs) but I don't think it works. The two next ones are designs with people and animals where the human character is being betrayed by the animal.. I don't know if I quite got it though. Then animal sketches and under that some crazy big headed alien. Also... I'm 22! everyone in character animation is awesome and I had a great birthday party. : D

more film drawings

I just started story boarding for my film! I'm excited, even though a lot of things still need to be figured out, at least its moving forward. Here are some idea drawings for characters etc.
Oh and last friday I was in a hear gallery art show and instead of putting in framed acrylics and gouaches like I usually do, I just thumb tacked a bunch of water color drawings on the wall. Later this week I'll try and pst some of them... most of them are older but haven't been seen on this blog. Also, here is a flyer made for this project Winona and I are doing. I thought it was kind of fun..

final horse layouts

These are layouts for the three horse and human characters created two weeks ago. Also, my mid residence review is tomorrow! I hope it goes well @_@
ahhh... Its about time I get working on my film's story boards!
